In the Senate: Senate leaders have scheduled a vote for today on the $700 billion rescue plan rejected by the House. Majority Leader Harry Reid and GOP Leader Mitch McConnell said they're going to add a tax cut package already rejected by the House.

In the House: House leaders are to resume talks today. The House is set to reconvene Thursday.
