Last update: August 14, 2008 - 5:29 AM

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Police say a Des Moines man may have been killed last month as part of a game involving selection of a random victim.

Police Sgt. Vince Valdez would release few details but says police have "received word of a game called 'Victim' that may have been going on at the time."

Four young men have been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Dean Jay Davis, a father of 6. The 46-year-old set out on an early morning bicycle ride and never returned home.

His body was found early the morning of July 26 about a block from his home.
