HOMEWOOD, Ala. — Police in suburban Birmingham, Ala., say a 1-year-old girl who was found unresponsive in an SUV has died.
Homewood police say the girl was found inside a white Lexus SUV Wednesday afternoon before being rushed to Children's of Alabama.
Police say the girl's temperature was about 105 degrees when they arrived, and her mother is being questioned in connection with her death.
Authorities are working to determine how long the girl had been in the car before police were called.
Homewood is just south of Birmingham.
