With up to six QBs going in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday, it had us looking back. Four times in the Super Bowl era have there been zero QBs drafted in the first round: 1996, 1988, 1985 and 1974. In ’74, no QBs were taken in the second round, either.
The last time the Timberwolves and Rockets played a playoff game at Target Center before Saturday, the leading scorers for each team were Dean Garrett and Matt Maloney, respectively. Anyway, now that this year’s Wolves have one victory in their belt, why not try for two? Game 4: 7 p.m. Monday, FSN and TNT.
