Returning conductor Osmo Vänskä led the musicians of the Minnesota Orchestra during a rehearsal Wednesday at Northrop Auditorium, days before Friday and Sunday concerts to reopen the renovated University of Minnesota icon. Vänskä will lead the musicians in recreating the venue's first concert, in 1929, by the then-Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. U ensembles are also on the "Echoes of History" program.
