Big Stone Lake: According to Schmidt's Landing, the walleye bite has slowed, but those trying to catch walleye are using a bottom bouncer/spinner combination with a leech or crawler at about 7-9 feet. Perch, blue gill, and bass also have been active. Perch are hitting on slip bobber and live bait presentations.

Detroit Lakes area: Despite recent inclement weather, lakes such as Big Detroit, Sallie, Melissa, Pines, Lida and Lizzy have good walleye action at about 13-20 feet off bars that extend into main lake areas or mid-lake humps using leeches and crawlers with spinners or live-bait rigs. Good crappie and panfish can be found on Melissa, Toad, the Pines, the Longs and Rock lakes. McDonald, Melissa and Sally Lakes are producing good northern action.

Grand Rapids area: Pokegama Lake is producing good walleye, bass and northern action. Bass and Trout Lakes also are good lakes to head to for good walleye, northern and panfish action. Bass are biting on deep water and topwater baits at deeper depths during the day and shallower depths during the evenings. Panfish are taking minnows in the early morning or evening.

Lake Waconia: Walleye action is surprisingly good during the early morning or evening at about 10-20 feet near the weed lines of Waconia Bay, the north and northwest side of Coney Island or the Pillsbury and Center reefs using minnows or leeches. Good sunfish and crappie action can be found on the north side of Coney Island at about 12-15 feet using night crawlers or wax worms.

Leech Lake: Anglers are heading to the east shore of Walker Bay and Cedar Point for good walleye action at 11-14 feet. The Main-Lake points and the Six-to-Eight foot rocks also are producing some walleye action. During the evenings, good walleye action can be found from Sand Point to Cedar Point and from Pine Point to GrandVu. The South-end rocks has produced some muskie action.

Willmar area: The best walleye spots seem to be Diamond Lake, Eagle Lake and Green Lake during the evenings at shallow depths. Bass and northern action are good on most area lakes. Good panfish action can be found on Lake Andrew, Lake Florida, Eagle Lake, Diamond Lake, Long Lake North and Nest Lake
