Minneapolis-based Target is recalling thousands of menorahs after receiving reports of several of the acrylic items melting while holding candles and three of them catching fire.
The recall, announced Tuesday by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, involves 2,600 of the clear menorahs sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide from October 2015 through December 2015 for about $20.
The Chinese-made menorahs are 10.5 inches long, 1.2 inches wide and 2.3 inches high and have a label affixed with model number 240-14-0169 and a bar code.
Target said it has received eight reports of the menorahs melting and three of them igniting.
There have been no injuries reported in connection with the items, which are traditionally used during Hanukkah observances.
