The Timberwolves this morning waived veterans John Thomas and Jason Hart to get their roster down to the limit of 15 players.

Guard Maurice Ager remains, but the Wolves certainly could make another move (or more) before their roster needs to be finalized by Monday.

Kurt Rambis and assistant GM Tony Ronzone have said the team probably will go into the regular season with 14 players so they have the flexibility to add a player if the opportunity presents itself, but the Wolves could always waive Ager, who is the only player left with a non-guaranteed contract, if that opportunity should pop up sometime later.

UPDATED WEDNESDAY AFTER PRACTICE:

Btw, Rambis hinted today that the Wolves very well could carry 15 players when the season starts.

But...it probably won't be Ager, which means the team is discussing acquiring a player (or players) from a team looking to save money.

Remember the Wolves are way under the salary cap, so they can take on contracts without having to give any back.

If the Wolves make a move, it'll be interesting to see if they add more youth or potential or add a veteran presence to a locker room very much lacking that.
