I never thought Delta's flight tracker would be part of my pre-game reporting, but...

I guess there's a first time for everything.

Rick Adelman didn't fly with the Wolves Saturday to Memphis, choosing instead to stay behind for an extra night at home with his wife Mary Kay.

Today's wintery weather back home delayed him leaving Minneapolis by at least a couple hours and last I checked, he was over Arkansas air space on approach to Memphis.

He was due to land at 4:38 p.m. for a 5 p.m. tip against the Grizzlies.

Plenty of time...

Terry Porter did the pre-game coach's media availability and will be in charge until Adelman arrives at FedEx Forum.

Meanwhile...

J.J. Barea went out on the court not long ago to test his sprained foot and came back saying he intends to try to play against a Grizzlies team the Wolves are facing for the first time this season, and of course for the first time since Memphis traded Rudy Gay away to Toronto for Tayshaun Prince, Ed Davis and Austin Daye.
