Flyers defenseman Nick Schultz, whose 743 games are second-most in Wild history, played what might have been his final game at Xcel Energy Center on Thursday.

Schultz knows his 15-year career could be wrapping up at age 34.

"Driving in, coming from the airport, you're thinking about different memories. I remember driving down the same road the day I got traded [to Edmonton in 2012]," he said, laughing.

Schultz reunited with captain Mikko Koivu, equipment manager Tony DaCosta, assistant coach Darby Hendrickson and front-office members Andrew Brunette and Brad Bombardir.

"You know you're getting old when you come in and coaches on the other team are guys you played with," Schultz said.

Schultz said he will see if an opportunity presents itself this summer, especially now that seven more blue-line jobs enter with expansion Vegas.

"If not, you've got to move on to the next chapter of your life," said Schultz, whose three children were born in Minnesota.

Etc.

• Wild defenseman Victor Bartley, signed last summer, took part in Thursday's morning skate. He tore his triceps during a preseason game last fall and has accounted for 72 of the Wild's 180 man-games lost to injury.

Bartley has still not been cleared to play, and because he wasn't by the trade deadline, he couldn't be loaned to Iowa. That means he can't play for Iowa and is strictly playoff depth for Minnesota.

"It's been a long season definitely. Basically five months away from hockey," Bartley said.

• Ryan White skated with the Wild Thursday morning but didn't play against his former team after missing the two previous games because of the flu.
