Wild gameday

7 p.m. vs. Columbus FSN, 107.9-FM

Injury-plagued Wild back home

Preview: After three road games, the Wild (1-1-1) opens its home season against Columbus (2-1) with a very depleted roster. Five forwards are out. The Wild called up Luke Kunin, Christoph Bertschy, Landon Ferraro and Zack Mitchell from the Iowa Wild on Friday. The Wild is 14-0-2 in its first games of the season at Xcel Energy Center.

Quotable: "It seems like it all happens at once, and hopefully, our guys are all right. But you get some players that step up. [Chris Stewart] gets some more ice time and some more offensive chances, and we all know he can put the puck in the net. That's what happens. In order to win games when guys go down like that, you need big guys to step up and play big, and we had a few of those.'' – Goalie Devan Dubynk on the Wild's injury woes.

Numbers: Dubnyk earned his 100th victory as a Wild player in Thursday's game at Chicago.

Injuries: Forwards Zach Parise (undisclosed), Mikael Granlund (groin), Charlie Coyle (right fibula fracture), Nino Niederreiter (left ankle sprain) and Marcus Foligno (facial fracture) are out.
