Events to focus on admissions at Blake

The Blake School will host several events this month where prospective students and their families can learn more about the school.

From 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, a financial assistance workshop will be held at the Blake Campus Middle School, 110 Blake Rd. S., Hopkins.

Two "Discover Blake" events also are scheduled in January. One is slated for Monday, Jan. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Upper School, Northrop Campus, located at 511 Kenwood Pkwy., Minneapolis. This event is aimed at prospective students in grades 9-12.

The other event will be on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 6:45 to 9 p.m. at the Blake Campus, located at 110 Blake Rd. S. This event will focus on opportunities for students enrolled in prekindergarten through eighth grade.

The Blake School seeks a talented, motivated and economically diverse student body and believes the cost of an independent school education should not be a barrier to prospective families. Blake provides $4.8 million in need-based financial assistance to almost 20 percent of its student body.

All admissions and financial assistance applications must be received by Jan. 31. For directions or more information, go to www.blakeschool.org or call 952-988-3420.
