BACK TO THE '50S WEEKEND

Reminisce about the days when there was no such thing as electric or Bluetooth-enabled vehicles. This annual show boasts more than 12,000 street rods, customs, classics and restored vehicles, dating from 1964 and earlier. Live music, swap meet, "Kids World" activities and more than 350 vendors and auto exhibits. (8 a.m.-10 p.m. today-Sat.; 6 a.m.-3 p.m. Sun. $10. Minnesota State Fairgrounds, 1265 N. Snelling Av., Falcon Heights. www.msra.com.)

GERMANFEST

Hansels and Gretels can be entertained for hours at this event. Laugh at the antics of Randy the Frog Guy, play games and make arts and crafts. There's fun for Mom and Dad, too, with live polka bands, displays, German food and, of course, beer. (10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sat.; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sun. Free. Schmidt Artist Lofts, 882 W. 7th St., St. Paul. www.germanfestmn.org.)
