Fishing complaint. Two men were reported fishing near a "No Fishing" sign at Windmill Marina, 16065 32nd St. They told a deputy they thought they were on public land but were informed they needed to move a little to be on parkland where they could fish. They moved.

JUNE 27

Animal concern. Three goats were reported loose in the road in the area of Jamaica Avenue and Stillwater Boulevard. The goats were gone by the time a deputy arrived.

JUNE 23

Gas drive-offs. Two customers pumped gas, bought items in the store and left without paying for their gas after the clerk forgot to charge them for it at the Holiday Stationstore, 4201 Manning Av.

Suspicious activity. A deputy checked on a report of multiple vehicles in the driveway and several people with flashlights in the yard of a home in the 8000 block of Stillwater Boulevard. The group with flashlights informed the deputy they were looking for a lost dog.

LAKELAND

JUNE 29

Driving complaint. A group of motorcyclists was reported passing vehicles on the shoulder, weaving in and out of traffic and driving erratically on St. Croix Trail southbound from Interstate 94. A deputy made contact with the motorcyclists at a gas station and advised them of the complaint. They were polite and cooperative and told the deputy they'd watch their behavior.

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 1000 block of Park Avenue complained about construction workers working on the street who were coming onto his property.

OAKDALE

JUNE 24

Suspicious vehicle. While on routine patrol an officer saw a vehicle with its doors open and no one nearby in the 6900 block of 35th Street at 1:40 a.m. Three individuals returned to the vehicle and said they'd been placing lawn ornaments on a friend's lawn. They collected the lawn ornaments and were sent home after being lectured on poor choices regarding pranks.

Animal complaint. A man in the 6200 block of 36th Street was reported dragging his yelping dog up and down the driveway by its collar. The man told police he was training the dog to hold a bird in its mouth for hunting. The officer saw no signs of obvious abuse.

JUNE 22

Found Jet Ski. A Jet Ski was found floating on Bone Lake near 238th Street. The owner was contacted and came and picked it up.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

JUNE 27

Suspicious incident. Authorities checked and cleared a home in the 15000 block of Painters Lane after a resident reported hearing a loud noise inside.

WOODBURY

JUNE 27

Suspicious activity. An officer on patrol saw two men sitting on some dirt outside Home Depot, 8334 Tamarack Village around midnight. The officer also noticed the gate to the garden center was open. The two individuals confirmed they were employees restocking the garden center.

Neighbor dispute. Two neighbors had a verbal altercation after one of them spoke to the other's child about how he was behaving. A witness told police the neighbor used profanity when speaking to the child. The two neighbors were advised to not interact with each other and keep their kids from doing so, too.
