MANKATO -- The Vikings eased into training camp on Friday by holding a single session that lasted only about an hour and 10 minutes.

The second day will not be as easy. The Vikings will hold two practices today, the first from 9 to 11:15 this morning and then an evening session from 7 to 8:55 p.m. The Vikings will then hold a single practice at 3 p.m. Sunday before getting into a six-day span that will feature two-a-days. A special teams practice will make up the second workout on Wednesday. Coach Brad Childress said one of today's practices will be held in pads.
