The design team drawing up plans for the Vikings $975 million stadium is heading north later this month as part of a regional tour aimed at capturing the public's perspective on what they hope to see in the project.

HKS Inc., the project architect, along with Vikings officials and members of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority have firmed up plans to host a public forum on the stadium's design from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Holiday Inn & Suites, 200 W. First St. in downtown Duluth.

Anyone and everyone with thoughts on what they want in the downtown Minneapolis development, from a retractable roof to purple and gold seats, is invited to attend.

The forum is one of two outstate scheduled this month.

A similar meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Doubletree Hotel, 150 South Broadway, in Rochester.

HKS hopes to have stadium renderings ready for viewing early next year. Groundbreaking on the stadium is scheduled for late summer.
