Sixth-round pick Moritz Boehringer has signed his rookie contract, the Vikings announced this evening. The German wide receiver is so fast, he is the first of the NFL's 2016 draft picks to sign, according to the team.
On Saturday, the Vikings made Boehringer the first player in NFL history to be drafted directly from Europe without playing here collegiately first.
You can read all about Boehringer, who had never played our version of football until three years ago, in this blog we published Saturday.
The seven other draft picks remain unsigned. Their rookie minicamp is this weekend. Last year, the Vikings got all their draft picks signed before then.
