The NFL released its 2011 schedule, but it should have come with an asterisk. Everything is on hold right now because of the ongoing lockout.

But assuming the labor battle gets resolved and no games are missed, the Vikings will open the season at San Diego on Sept. 11.

The Vikings have only two prime-time games this season, compared with four last season when all 22 starters returned from a team that played in the NFC Championship Game, including Brett Favre, who was coming off a career year and remained a marquee attraction.

What a difference a year makes, eh?
