The Vikings don't play the Chicago Bears until tonight but it's already been a busy day at Winter Park.

Brett Favre was upgraded from "out" on the injury reprot to "questionable" in a move that has left many scratching their heads when it comes to if the veteran will play tonight, R.J. Archer was activated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster and now it appears the Vikings are set to bring in another quarterback.

Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger reports Rhett Bomar, who has spent the past two seasons as a member of the Giants' practice squad, is on his way to Minnesota to sign with the Vikings, according to someone who spoke to Bomar today. An NFL source confirmed it was their understanding that Bomar would be joining the Vikings.

Bomar was a fifth-round pick of the Giants in 2009. He completed 40 of 47 passes for 545 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions in the exhibition season.
