The host Atlanta Silverbacks converted a late penalty kick that gave it a 1-1 draw with Minnesota United FC, but United extended its unbeaten streak to seven games.

Christian Ramirez scored his league-leading seventh goal for United.

The first half saw United jump out to a fast start, generating chances early, but slowly tapered off as the half drew on. Minnesota again got off to a fast start in the second half, and this time finding the mark. as Ramirez dribbled past Atlanta keeper Joe Nasco and put the ball in the back of the net, good for his seventh tally on the season.
The breakthrough for Atlanta came late in the match as a foul just outside the box gave the Silverbacks a free kick in the 90th minute. The ball struck the arm of a United player and the referee pointed for a penalty kick. Pablo Cruz easily put the ball past Minnesota keeper Mitch Hildebrandt to level the match.
