University of North Dakota police are investigating the death of a student from West St. Paul after he was found unresponsive at a Grand Forks, N.D., home on Saturday morning.

Campus police responded to a report of a medical issue on the 500 block of Cambridge Street around 9 a.m., where emergency workers performed CPR to try and revive 22-year-old Alex Davis. He was taken to Altru Hospital, where he later died.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said they do not expect any foul play.

UND President Robert O. Kelley released a statement to students Saturday about the incident, offering condolences to Davis' family and friends. Counseling is available for students.

Davis was majoring in visual arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.
