The Twins have agreed to trade righthander Billy Bullock to Atlanta that will allow them to retain lefthander Scott Diamond. Diamond, who has cleared waivers, has been assigned outright to Class AAA Rochester.

Diamond has been slowed in camp by a cut on his left thumb, so the Twins haven't had enough time to evaluate him.

At first glance, the Twins gave up a pretty decent prospect in Bullock, a second-round pick out of Florida in 2009. Some feel Bullock is a good closer prospect with a legitimate mid-90's fastball.

Bullock struck out 105 batters in 74 innings between Class A Fort Myers and Class AA New Britain.

No word yet on if the Twins will be able to swing a deal with Atlanta and keep Scott Diamond. Should be some interesting moments at Turner Field over the next two days.

Starters are getting a couple of at-bats then they are outta there!
