Good morning. The Weather Channel is here today to talk to Terry Ryan about what it's like to move a team from Florida at the end of spring training and head for colder weather up north. I have seen it all....

``We mostly talked about the weather," Ryan said. ``I was a little out of my element."

Just wanted to follow up on the story I wrote yesterday about Wander Javier, the shortstop from the Dominican Republic the Twins are willing to pay $4 million on July 2. One of my sources believes that the deal is going to happen. I didn't want to go that far when I wrote the original story because it's March 8 and a lot can happen between now and July 2. A lot of these deals are based on relationships with players and families and handlers, but money has a way of building new bridges quickly.

If it was closer to July 2, I would believe that it is done deal. Not this early.

A gravel-voiced Brian Dozier entered the clubhouse showing all the signs of someone who should be sent home as soon as possible to ensure that he doesn't spread his germs around the clubhouse. "I'm going to try to do a couple of things then get out of here," the Patrick Reusse impersonator said.

Jordan Schafer was all over Dozier, who apparently teased him and other sick Twins players last week when they fell ill.

But Dozier rallied and stuck around. He put in a good workout, and could be back tomorrow.

Chatted with Mike Pelfrey, who was generally pleased with how he threw yesterday but wished his command was better. He threw several changeups, as per Neil Allen's suggestion.
