Here are three quick thoughts on a rainy night at Target Field:

BERRIOS NOT BAD: Good thing the wind was blowing in when Miguel Cabrera hammered his change up in the third inning, or the ball would still be traveling. But the wind knocked it down and helped Berrios to a 1-2-3 third inning. He was around the plate more, as the mechanical adjustments he's making appear to be working. Now let's see if he throw four scoreless innings. Then five. Then...

WATCH DOZIER: Brian Dozier was plunked in the ribs in the third inning and it didn't look good. He stayed in the game, but let's see how he feels in the morning before he's in the lineup.

McLEOD INTERVIEWS: Was told the Twins recently flew Cubs exec Jason McLeod in to interview for the President of Baseball position the Twins are creating. Sounds like the Twins are about ready to wrap up the initial phase their search. My quick take: No one among the group of known candidates has never been a GM before. So this would be a double-jump for them. That surprises me somewhat.

ONE MORE THING: Torii Hunter is in town to visit his two former teams. He's slowly making his way to South Bend to watch his son play Duke this weekend.
