Update: Justin Morneau feels fine when he wakes up in the morning but feels groggy in the afternoon. He did not come to the ballpark on Monday and will be examined by a specialist on Tuesday.

As of now, it's not looking good that he'll be activated from the disabled list on Friday, the first day he's able to come off of the disabled list following a concussion on July 7 in Toronto. He'll likely remain in the Twin Cities when the Twins head out to Baltimore and Kansas City.

``You talk to him, he's groggy and you can't do anything about it," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. ``How long it's going to last, no one knows. The doctors can only guess.

``It's how the player feels. And when the symptoms leave he can get back to baseball activities. He gets up in the morning he says he feels fine. He makes some progress, then as the day goes on he gets headaches. So I can't tell you how close."

Aaron Laffey has faced the Twins three times this season in relief, giving up two runs, one earned, over 3.2 innings. Career wise, he's 4-2, 4,71 in 11 games (8 starts).

Lefties are hitting .328 against him, but Danny Valencia is getting a start for a second straight game anyway

Michael Cuddyer is batting .389 against Laffey (8 for 17). Joe Mauer (.417) and Denard Span (.462) also have had success against him.

Scott Baker is 7-6, 3.50 against Cleveland. Travis Hafner (.384-4-7) and Andy Marte (.385-3-6) have had success against him.

Heard from the clubhouse that former Twin Mike Redmond, who was released by Cleveland on Saturday, probably will spend the rest of the summer in Cleveland. One of the reasons he signed there was because he has family there. Doesn't sound like he's knocking on doors looking to play again.

Cleveland just swept Detroit in four games. The Twins are going for their fourth straight win.
