The 2012 season ends tonight when the Twins take on the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre, and it couldn't come any sooner. Injuries have kept key players on the sideline this series and the replacements have made mistake after mistake.

Joe Mauer, however, is playing. He'll set a career high by playing in his 147th game.

Just spoke with GM Terry Ryan. He was asked if the team was better off than it was a year ago. "No." he said. "We're still in the same spot, last place."

Ryan said he feels more up to speed now than he did a year ago, when he was inserted as GM to replace Bill Smith and had to his the ground running. He'll need to be up to speed, because this club needs more than a tweak during the offseason.
