Trivia overload

Perhaps the hardest question in "The Million Second Quiz" (7 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11) is: Just what the heck is this thing? We're told that this 12-day, 24-hour game show will offer up almost as much money as host Ryan Seacrest makes in a month. If the finished product isn't too confusing, this could become an annual summer event for struggling NBC.

Yellow fever

In "Exploding Sun" (7 p.m., Reelz), the crew of the Roebling Clipper may end up taking Sheryl Crow's "Soak Up the Sun" too literally as their spaceship spins out of Earth's orbit and heads directly toward that big yellow ball in the sky. "JAG's" David James Elliott is at the wheel.

Peter the Great

Before making wisecracks on "Game of Thrones," Peter Dinklage played a humorless loner who inherits a railway station in 2003's "The Station Agent" (8 p.m., Indie), a touching film with equally strong performances from Bobby Cannavale and Patricia Clarkson.
