He's got the look

Prince could never deliver a proper follow-up to "Purple Rain," but "Sign O' the Times" comes close. The 1987 concert film, shot largely at Paisley Park, hasn't been seen on American television for more than a decade. That — and the chance to see guest star Sheena Easton at her sultriest — is reason enough to continue paying tribute to the late genius.

Preparations for the show's return later this month continue Tuesday with NBC's "The Paley Center Salutes the Best of Will & Grace."

If Stephen Colbert scores as host of "The 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards," it'll be because he resists going down the political rabbit hole and focusing instead on what's really important — like whether Minnesota's Louie Anderson can hold off "SNL's" Alec Baldwin to repeat as best supporting actor in a comedy.
