The 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks is commemorated with a bevy of specials across cableland, most notably a double bill of History Channel documentaries: "102 Minutes That Changed America," an update of the 2009 Emmy-winning special, and the new "America's 9/11 Flag: Rise From the Ashes," which focuses on the seemingly lost souvenir from Ground Zero.

The judges' table for "The 2017 Miss America Competition" may include Ciara, Mark Cuban and Gabby Douglas, but win or lose, all eyes will be locked on Missouri's Erin O'Flaherty. She is the contest's first openly gay contestant to make it this far.

The candy man

"Masters of Sex" jumps ahead to 1968 in its fourth season, opening the door for a story arc involving Sammy Davis Jr. ("The Wire's" Andre Royo), who meets Masters and Johnson at a Playboy party. Six-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara will also appear in a recurring role.
