One on one

"Full Circle" (8 p.m., DIRECTV Audience Network) marks the TV writing debut of Neil LaBute ("The Shape of Things"), a playwright and screenwriter who seems to court controversy with every project. Each half-hour episode focuses on a conversation between two characters. All 10 episodes will be available for immediate viewing on DIRECTV Everywhere.

Now that it's been on for 17 seasons, it's easy to overlook "South Park" (9 p.m., Comedy). Don't. A recent new episode, in which the show managed to skewer religion, national security and cellphones, was pure gold. If anything, the series is taking even more chances — and scoring.
