The right Price

TCM's Star of the Month is Vincent Price, which gives us a chance to see the late actor as more than a ghoulish figure in horror movies. The Thursday-night marathons kick off with 1939's "The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex" (7 p.m., TCM), in which Price plays none other than Sir Walter Raleigh.

Graceless

Sean Hayes, who brought a creative burst of energy to "Will & Grace," fails to live up to the title of his new series, "Sean Saves the World" (8 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11). Hayes just doesn't resonate as a leading man in this over-the-top effort about a single father trying to raise his teenage daughter. The only big laughs come from Thomas Lennon playing a cuckoo boss — exactly the kind of role Hayes might have shined in.

Dance the night away

Jennifer Lopez's backup singers get the spotlight in "A Step Away" (9 p.m., NUVOtv), a new docu-series that follows the 10-member troupe on Lopez's first world tour.
