Comic timing

A new batch of "The Standups" shines the spotlight on some impressive, fast-rising comics, but Minnesotans may want to start with Rachel Feinstein. A superhero's roots

"Krypton" adds a grimmer chapter to the Superman saga, with a focus on the Man of Steel's grandfather (Tom Cruise-ish Cameron Cuffe), who must decide whether to save his planet with the fate of future Earth hanging in the balance. This ultra-serious series is more along the lines of "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" than "Smallville."
