Father and son

The star of "Raging Bull" and "Taxi Driver" isn't known for showing his emotional vulnerability in his personal life, but he does an admirable job of letting it all out in "Remembering the Artist Robert De Niro, Sr.," a surprisingly honest documentary about the late visual artist whose work was displayed beside the likes of Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko before personal problems and changing trends made him nearly obsolete. You can hear the admiration, frustration and regret in the son's emotional narration.
