In the wild
In "Siberia" (7 p.m. Saturday, Syfy), 16 contestants are dropped into the wilderness with nothing more than the lint in their pockets and face unexpected challenges. Since this is the Syfy channel, I'm assuming at least one of those challenges is trying to convince those unkempt Ewoks to take a bath.
Cutting them up
Judah Friedlander and Jamie Lee Curtis are among the celebrities contributing to the countdown, "Chiller 13: Great American Slashers" (7 p.m. Sunday, Chiller). I'm sure Freddy Krueger and Sweeney Todd will make the list, but I hope they don't forget "Honest" George, the used-car salesman. Now that guy knows how to slash prices!
Help a sister out
"Dexter" (8 p.m. Sunday, Showtime) may have overstayed its welcome, but last season and this final one are giving Jennifer Carpenter a chance to prove she can do more than curse up a storm. Her Debra Morgan is showing signs that her brother isn't the only family member with an appetite for blood. Let's hope her performance finally earns her a much-deserved Emmy nomination.
