Bloody bites

Not even food shows are safe from the walking dead. "Donut Showdown," a series not to be watched on an empty stomach, gives contestants a chance to win $10,000 by creating the best zombie-themed pastry. Judges may want to think twice before biting into that jelly doughnut. 9 p.m. Friday, Cooking Channel

Just the 'Facts'

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and then you have — a "Facts of Life" reunion. Lisa "Blair" Whelchel and Kim "Tootie" Fields star in "For Better or for Worse," a new movie about a widow who tries to get through her grief by creating memorable weddings with her best friend. No word yet on whether Mindy "Natalie" Cohn gets invited to any of the nuptials. 8 p.m. Saturday, Hallmark

Hooray for Bollywood

Not all movie lovers can afford cable or Netflix. Thanks goodness for TPT, which dedicates most Saturday nights to classic films. This week's marquee features "Slumdog Millionaire," the 2008 Oscar winner that hardly needs any editing to meet public television standards. 8 p.m. Saturday, TPT, Ch. 2

All the lonely people

One of the misleading aspects of "Masters of Sex" is that it's all about sex, the kind of program Cinemax presents in the middle of the night to viewers whose other family members are out of town. But the series, firmly into its second season, has very few naughty bits. This is a drama about awfully lonely people who barely know how to get through a conversation, let alone a hookup. If you're interested in smutty fun, get a subscription to Hustler. If you want a telling examination of fragile humans, enroll in "Masters." 9 p.m. Sunday, Showtime
