Another round of rumors. The Maryland job has opened up and multiple outlets have mentioned Tubby Smith as a possible target.
Dick Vitale, via Twitter, said Smith should be a candidate for the job vacated when Gary Williams announced his retirement Thursday.
We'll see what happens. It's still early in the process.
But I haven't seen anything definitive that links Smith to the opening, although a source close to the program said that he thinks Smith would listen if Maryland called.
