Hard to guess what Minnesotan Charles Schulz would think of the recent Snoopy revival, which includes a new animated series, "Peanuts," which will air weekday mornings after an initial run in France. Re-imagining the legendary comic strip may attract a new audience, but the cartoonist was extremely protective of his pint-size gang and was wary of any use of them that stretched beyond his own ink-stained fingers. Cartoon Network will offer a sampling of episodes this week at 9:30 a.m.

Netflix's anticipated revival of "Gilmore Girls" won't drop until later this year, but those dying for some fast-paced gossip at Luke's Diner can get generous servings at UP, which airs a marathon of repeats every weekday afternoon. On Mondays and Tuesdays, the happy-hour special creeps into prime time with six straight hours of repeats.

Flight plan

"Fox NFL Sunday" anchor Chris Menefee is spending at least part of his offseason hanging out in airports for the new series "Hello Goodbye," which captures the drama that can take place at arrival gates and baggage carousels. Ellen DeGeneres is among the producers, which is appropriate since her TV character famously came out of the closet in 1997 to Laura Dern over an airport intercom system. We don't necessarily expect Menefee to follow suit.
