1 If you're taking photos on private land, be sure to get permission from the landowner.
2 Placing a blind ahead of time is very important. Give your photo subjects time to adjust to the blind's presence.
3 Snow can fool a light meter, even in modern cameras. Once in your blind, take a few photos to make sure your camera's settings are correct.
4 To help me stay warm while in a blind, I use chemical warmers. I put them in my boots, and always have one in each pocket.
