Benilde-St. Margaret's, ranked No. 3 in Class 4A, earned a 48-20 road victory on Thursday night over St. Louis Park to improve to 5-0.

Quarterback Tommy Anderson hooked up with wide receiver Gabe Alada for three touchdowns to fuel the Red Knights offense. Alada, a senior, had 122 total yards receiving.

Senior running back Quinn Ehlen rushed 14 times for 59 yards including a 1-yard touchdown run.

Benilde-St. Margaret's defense was led by junior John Witmore who had nine tackles and one of the Red Knights' four interceptions.

Senior Ikenna Ujuagu had a 32-yard rushing touchdown and had eight tackles and a sack on defense for Benilde-St. Margaret's.

Jonny Sorenson threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Orioles offense. The senior also ran for a touchdown in the second quarter that pulled St. Louis Park within a touchdown before Benilde-St. Margaret's went on a 27-6 run the rest of the game.

The Red Knights will take on Holy Angels, ranked No. 5 in Class 4A, at home on Friday of next week.

St. Croix Lutheran 49, Minneapolis Washburn 20: Senior Matt Stern led the Crusaders with three rushing touchdowns. His longest was a 27-yard run. Junior Elijah Lewis returned a block punt 26-yards for another St. Croix Lutheran touchdown. Senior Nehemiah Hammick had a 56-yard touchdown run to cap off the scoring for the Crusaders. Rory Purnell III threw two touchdown passes to lead the Millers.

GIRLS SOCCER

Edina 4, Hopkins 0: Freshman Haley Reeck led the Hornets with two goals and an assist. Emilie Lijesen and Mia Scalia added the other goals for Class 2A, No. 4 Edina. Senior Loli Fidler earned the shutout. As a team, the Hornets have allowed just one goal in 11 matches. Their last loss came on Aug. 26 against No. 8 Burnsville.

Stillwater 3, Mounds View 1: The Ponies traveled to beat their Suburban East rival and remain undefeated in the conference. Olivia Knox scored two goals and assisted on a goal scored by fellow senior Hannah Beech.

Centennial 2, Coon Rapids 0: Hannah Bombeck and Aria Burgess scored to give the Cougars, ranked No. 10 in Class 2A, the win over its Northwest Suburban rival. The Bordson sisters, Brianna and Brittany assisted on the goals.

BOYS SOCCER

Wayzata 2, Eden Prairie 0: The Trojans, the top-ranked Class 2A team, defeated the No. 10 Eagles in Eden Prairie to remain undefeated. Seniors Daniel Palamarchuk and Walter Smith scored for Wayzata.
