Third-ranked Minnesota routed No. 21 Indiana 35-6 in their second-to-last home dual wrestling meet of the season Sunday at the Sports Pavilion, improving to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in the Big Ten.

The Gophers were able to pick up three major decisions and one fall in the first five bouts for a 21-0 lead heading into intermission. The pin was recorded by Scott Schiller at 197 pounds, leaving him as the Gophers' lone undefeated wrestler.

Heavyweight Tony Nelson dropped to 21-4 with a 3-2 loss to Indiana's sixth-ranked Adam Chalfant. It was the first loss in regulation for Nelson, the two-time reigning national champion.

Following Nelson's loss, reigning Big Ten Wrestler of the Week Sam Brancale got the Gophers back on the winning track with a 15-3 major decision over Indiana's Alonzo Shepherd at 125 pounds.

The Gophers will compete at the Sports Pavilion for the last time this season at 1 p.m. next Sunday, against No. 1 Penn State. The five Gophers seniors will be honored during the meet.
