The Wizard of Oz

Opening: Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jeremy Sams tuned up the 1939 film script and then Lloyd Webber added a couple of songs with his old mate Tim Rice. The result is this adaptation, which makes its first appearance in the Twin Cities. Don't worry, most of the tunes from the film were kept. Lloyd Webber wrote new songs for the two witches (Wicked and Good), the Wizard and Dorothy. This national tour stars Danielle Wade, who was chosen through a Canadian reality TV show. Sams directed the production. He also staged the London West End debut in 2011, which ran for 18 months.
