'THE ROOM NOBODY KNOWS'
Ends Saturday: Walker Art Center's 26th annual Out There series continues this week with "The Room Nobody Knows," a surreal piece written and directed by onetime Japanese psychotherapist Kuro Tanino. The work, which made its North American premiere last week in New York, makes manifest the secret erotic lives of two brothers, one of whom has a birthday coming up. The other brother creates objects for the party, including chimera-like creatures with animal heads. Tanino is known for his imaginative, dreamlike works. This one is performed by his company, Niwa Gekidan Penino. (8 p.m. Thu.-Sat., Walker Art Center, 1750 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., $18-$22, 612-375-7600 or www.walkerart.org.)
