International Falls
Opening: Thomas and Sherry Jo Ward are newcomers to the Twin Cities theater scene. Thomas is an actor and playwright who taught theater at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Sherry works in public relations at Children's Theatre Company. "International Falls" is Thomas' play about a stand-up comic looking for affection from a desk clerk in northern Minnesota. Both characters are questioning their careers (if you can call it that), and both are in dead-end marriages. Bain Boehlke, a native of Warroad, Minn., directs the Wards at Bryant-Lake Bowl. (7 p.m. Fri.-next Sun. Ends June 9. 810 W. Lake St., Mpls., $10, 612-825-8949 or brownpapertickets.com.)
