Sassbottom points us to an interesting little compilation put together by Scouts Inc. for ESPN.com. It ranks each of the 12 playoffs teams in nine different categories (QB, RB, etc.). The lowest overall score is the best. And ... your Minnesota Vikings finished first overall with a score of 51, one ahead of the Indianapolis Colts. That probably shouldn't be a total surprise since the Vikings have so many Pro Bowl players and would tend to do well in a position-by-position comparison.

What might be surprising, though, is that Minnesota was able to achieve this top ranking despite being weighed down in the final category: coaching. In that area, Minnesota is given a 12 -- worst, in other words, out of all the playoff teams.

You might recognize the author of the linked piece as Jeremy Green -- son of former Vikings coach Dennis Green.

Also, we should advise you to take with a grain of salt any list that puts the Chargers 12th out of 12 teams.
