Per ESPN.com, it sounds as though the Packers are tired of messing around with a rotating cast of oft-injured and/or mediocre running backs and are going to sign Cedric Benson. Begrudgingly, we we admit this is a very good idea that only makes the Packers stronger.
Benson has rushed for at least 1,000 yards each of the past three seasons. While he has a wee case of the fumbles -- 12 in the past two seasons combined -- he is an upgrade and should thrive in that offense.
