Teddy Bridgewater has been there before.

In August 2016, it was he who everyone was reaching out to with well wishes and condolences.

Now it's his turn.

When word broke Thursday afternoon that Texans phenom Deshaun Watson had torn his ACL – NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported it was a noncontact injury, not unlike Bridgewater's – the fourth-year pro reached out to the rookie with consecutive tweets:

"Damn @deshaunwatson," Bridgewater tweeted, "this one hurt. You'll be back better than ever young.

"Been overcoming adversity your entire life & never lost faith once. The battle is already won, claim ur victory, born winner."

Bridgewater, appearing near his own return to the field, knows what lies ahead for Watson. It won't be easy.
