Passengers on Sun Country Airlines have until January to acclimate to the new bag fees but will immediately see a new price structure for their seats.
The Eagan-based airline announced Monday new "bundles" — which include changes to seat and bag fees — but has since clarified that the fees won't roll out at the same time.
On Wednesday, the airline updated its seat selection fees, which will vary depending on the route, time of year and location on the aircraft. These changes will effect travel immediately. Sun Country previously charged for preferred and exit row seats in coach.
The airline's original announcement focused on the baggage bundles, some of which include a discount on seat selection. Those bundles can now be booked for travel beginning Jan. 19, 2018.
