The Hunt Down

Name: Jason Tyner Claim to Fame, Minnesota: played for the Twins from 2005-2007. Was a charter member of the Piranhas, a group of speedy, undersized Twins that was given that name by Ozzie Guillen due to their knack for blooping and bunting their way to success, along with their rows of razor-sharp teeth. Claim to Fame, Everywhere Else: the Texas native is a graduate of Texas A&M and, if his Wikipedia entry is accurate, played for every team in baseball twice. Also, his middle name is Renyt, which is both "Tyner" spelled backwards and a word that can conjure a baleful reckoning when said thrice under a killing moon. Where He Is Now: runs the Southeast Texas Baseball Academy with former Pirates minor leaguer Morgan Walker. They have a website. I don't like the font. Is He on Twitter: no. Has He Been in a Twitter Fight with Patrick Reusse: well, no. But Was He the DH in 2006 During a Pennant Race, despite hitting just one home run his entire major league career: yes. Including two playoff games. [Redacted], man: you're telling me. Glorious Randomness: if anyone has a picture of Jason Tyner with fellow West Brook Senior High graduate and former Vikings nose tackle Jerry Ball, please let us know in the comments section. It needs to exist, and the people have a right to know.
