Note: This will be the only post of the day, but it will be a very glorious post. You have to click that last link. No, really. ----------

Commenter RandBallsStu (branding!) each week tracks down a former Minnesota sports figure about whom you might have otherwise forgotten. Stu?

-----------

The Hunt Down Name: Bob Bruce Claim to Fame, Minnesota: late-'70s/mid-'80s sports anchor for KSTP. Blazed a trail for your Jeff Passolts and Randy Shavers by transitioning from sports to news. He even hosted Good Company! Like fellow KSTP alum Dana Wessel, had amazing hair. Claim to Fame, Everywhere Else: won an Emmy in Phoenix for coverage of a Scottsdale flood. Also worked in Dallas, Omaha, Oklahoma City and Pittsburgh. Where He Is Now: after retiring from his Pittsburgh broadcast gig in 2010, stayed in the area and founded Integrity Wealth Consulting, LLC, a financial planning firm. As the linked photo shows, Bruce's hair game is still on point. Is He on Twitter: yes. Has He Been in a Twitter Feud with Patrick Reusse: no. Glorious Randomness: this 1984 commercial featuring the KSTP news team taking on Tom Brunansky, Kirby Puckett and Ron [redacted] Davis at the Metrodome will be the best thing you see all day.
