Opening Thursday 2/9
Writer/director Isabel Nelson had a big hit at the Minnesota Fringe Festival in 2010 with "Ballad of the Pale Fisherman." The show, from the strange annals of interspecies connections, is a love story between a fisherman and his seal wife. Such pairings populate Scottish and Irish folklore, from which the story is drawn. Nelson is mounting an expanded version of "Pale Fisherman" again with most of her earlier cast, including Anna Reichert as seal-woman Selkie and Diogo Lopes, the director's husband, as the Fisherman.
